Quick grips to prevent templates from sliding while cutting
The bite out of each side of the Apple Core template creates the scalloped edges of the quilt. Create a country 'a peel' with a peck of plaids or utilize scraps from other projects to make a traditional charm quilt. The gentle curve makes it easy to cut and sew. Shar shares her secrets of using a glue stick instead of pins, and sewing partial seams so you get the best results from the peeling to the core.
Shar recommends using a stiletto instead of your pointer finger to guide fabric in front of the needle when machine piecing. You won’t worry about pieces scooting to one side at the end of the seam.
